I have a PSP Go with fw 5.70 which I do not want to update. I wanted to browse around to see what games are available and to get prices so I installed the current version of Media Go. When I went to look at my PSP Go it said I had to upgrade the PSP firmware.

I uninstalled Media Go and installed the version I had on the CD and I was able to do things; copy movies and pictures but no games. Also I was able to browse the web site to see what was available and get prices. Well, this morning I get a nag about upgrading which I do not want to do and I will not let me browse the site.

I finally clicked on the upgrade and it brought up my internet browser and there was limited info available on games and movies but no pricing information. It looks like Sony is forcing fw upgrades which is quite annoying.

Being I have a bunch of UMDs which are totally unusable on the Go I am content to use the Go for movies and will wait for the development of a cfw that will run ISOs. I sure as hell don't want to spend money twice for the same games, that's utter nonsense.
