Watch Movies – In A Theatre Or At Your Play Station Portable? - Movies For PSPAs I came out of the Imperial Cinema Theatre last week watching Leonardo Caprio sacrificing himself to save the life of Kate Winslett in Titanic, I thought for myself that I need not spend a fortune coming to a cinema and watching my favorite movies. I have a black colored monster (the PSP) on my hand that will do this for me. Though I may not enjoy the full screen view of the cinema, I can always connect my PSP to my home television with Woofer systems and I can make a home theater myself. Armed with all these thoughts in mind, I started looking for movies available on the internet to download on my PSP. After a long hunt, I trained my sights on Rush Hour 3, the Jackie Chan thriller. I was jumping up and down in the air. I clicked on the Download button and went in my kitchen to make myself macaroni as I had done some occasions before as well. When I came back after ten minutes, I was a bit disappointed to see the screen reading "Still downloading". I thought "Maybe, since it is a video, it is taking longer". I did my kitchen trick again. After helping me to nice cup of coffee, I came back to see the "Still downloading" message again. And this was enough to get me on my boots.
I called a friend of mine who had tremendous technical prowess and he asked me a series of questions. Here they are Do you have a special folder for MPEG-4 Files? ? If no, have you created one? Do you have any converter programs on your PSP? Do you have a video - file conversion software? I was shocked to hear those questions. Shocked because my honest answer was "No" to all those questions. That is when my friend sat down to explain the technicalities. I used an IBM Lenovo Laptop which had 8 MB RAM and tried 'processing' Mavericks/Knicks fight just for the sake of it. I was a bit surprised when the output file was of highest quality albeit the size being close to 20 MB. And when I tried to get a bit cheeky and compromised on the quality a bit, a found that the end files size was close to 4MB. Nevertheless, I had more or less mastered the trick. I used this to download some of what I wanted on my PSP. And wonders, it did work. I am off to seeing a trailer of the Shark, do you want to join me as yet….
