PSP 2 : A Story, Not Quite Forgotten
The originally released PSP 2, somewhere in 2006 created quite a few ripples in the PSP arena. But as products started to revolutionize themselves, the original PSP 2 started fading into oblivion. The basic features still were the same. Then, what caused the rapid dip in popularity of the PSP 2? Feedback from users of the 1st PSP 2 say that it had very long downloading times, had issues with its battery conking off time and again and it was a bit too heavy for the users. Once this feedback reached the competitors of PSP 2, they came up with products which answered the same questions and then came the decline of PSP 2.
But it is a story not forgotten for PSP 2? They say "Software Developers never rest until they find something new". Proving this statement right, "Sony Corporation ™" which came up with the first version of PSP 2 are in the stages to launch their latest version of PSP 2. The initial reviews that I have got for this product is pretty encouraging. It offers almost all the features which any other PSP would offer. This product is being marketed as a faster, lighter version of the old PSP with some key features added to it. The latest version of PSP 2 claims that it is much more lighter than the older PSP and it has faster downloading times than the older one too. Better still, an integrated 1GB Memory stick to go with this PSP 2 does the creaming business. With small overhauls done to the architecture and functionality of the older PSP, the new PSP2 multi-entertainment system is all ready to rock the PSP arena again. Adding some feathers to its cap is the user's choice to choose from over 1400 games. And much more. But is this the start of another quality war for the PSP ? Believe me, with the advent of the all new PSP 2 in the market , competitors will be breaking their heads on how to outwit this one. They may have already started doing so. I just hope that this war brings out the best in Sony's products and it keeps on innovating itself and its products so that we as users get the best benefits of the PSP 2, 3,4 etc and so on. The war has just begun, but we have an old soldier here who would have been down a year before, but now is currently not out….
